Our entire goal is to passionately spread the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, discipleship, and fostering a deep, authentic faith. We strive to build our own relationships through in-depth study of scripture, intense covenant prayer, and spiritual mentorship.
Our purpose is to love God and love people, regardless of where they are in life. We want to share the great news about Jesus far and wide, to all who will listen. We pray for a movement of God both locally and abroad, calling His children to true life by faith.
Jesus never focused on denominational semantics, neither do we. The early church was singular in scripture, so we do not focus on the fundamentals of any particular denomination, choosing to remain more non-denominational in our beliefs.
Ephesians 4:5 calls all believers to unity, confirming that scripture and practice of Christianity isn't about division, denominations, personalities, or preferences... it's about a single Gospel, forming a single people (the church), grounded in one faith, anchored by one hope, and sealed by one baptism. Our people all have different stories, but same Savior; same promise; same act of surrender in acceptance of it all.
This is the most important question that could probably be asked!! This is amazing! If this is you, you have no idea how much our hearts leap for you, and not only us, but the heavens as well! The inhabitants of Heaven also realize the gravity of dying without belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ. According to the Bible (Luke 15:7 and 15:10), there is immense joy and a glorious celebration in heaven among the angels of God whenever one sinner repents and is saved. This event represents a major victory in the spiritual realm, where a lost soul is found and reconciled back to the God who created them.
Moving forward, there isn't any magical prayer or formula that must be applied when asking Christ to become a member of His royal family. It's actually pretty simple in nature. But it can require a lot of change on your behalf, based on your situation. All that Christ asks is faith in Him, repentance (or turning away from a life of sin), and a water baptism. The belief is hard for some folks. The rejection of old ways and turning from a life focused on self interest and self pleasure can be more difficult for others. This is where finding a church becomes a crucial part of your faith journey.

The short, honest answer—using Scripture alone—is this:
Baptism is commanded, expected, and normative for believers, but it is not an absolute requirement for salvation. The Bible proves this, including three clear instances involving Jesus Himself. However, that said, we do believe the following, which is straight out of the pages of scripture-
• Salvation is by grace through faith
• Baptism is commanded, not optional
• Baptism does not save, but saved people obey
Jesus Himself proves this by saving people without baptism when circumstances demand it. Salvation is through grace alone, offered to those who believe.
The Bible is the very Word of God- living, unchanging, and forever relevant. This is our roadmap for life, and tells the story of past, present, and future. Despite the translation that might be most preferred, God confirms these very things. within the pages of canonized scripture.
Considering beliefs, we see things pretty simply... if it isn't biblical, it isn't significant to us. We use God's written word as our roadmap and guide. EVERYTHING that we do and believe is biblically clear and relevant. If the teaching is biblically sound, it teaches about Jesus, and faith, hope, and love are the drivers, we support every church and believer that adheres to those standards.
In a modern culture shaped by individualism and spiritual autonomy, many Christians insist, “I don’t need church to have a relationship with Christ.” And while salvation is indeed personal, the New Testament makes one thing unmistakably clear: spiritual growth was never meant to happen in isolation. Jesus Himself established the Church, not institutions, denominations, or buildings, but a gathered community of believers called to worship, grow, and serve together. There is no biblical category for a Christian who intentionally walks alone. The Church was Jesus’ idea, Jesus’ design, and Jesus’ mission, and that makes it non-negotiable for anyone serious about spiritual maturity.
One of the primary reasons the Church remains indispensable is that God designed it to be the believer’s spiritual feeding ground. Scripture teaches that God appointed pastors, teachers, and leaders to equip the saints (Eph. 4:11–12), meaning spiritual nourishment is meant to be received through community, not manufactured in isolation. Private devotion is vital, but it cannot replace the role of corporate teaching, shared worship, and unified prayer. The church also functions as a safeguard against deception and doctrinal drift. Isolation creates blind spots; community brings clarity. This is precisely why Scripture commands believers not to “forsake assembling” (Heb. 10:25). The Church protects the believer’s heart, mind, and theology.
The Church is also the environment where spiritual gifts come alive. Every believer is uniquely equipped by God, yet those gifts were never meant for self-use, they were given for the common good (1 Cor. 12:7). Without the Church, gifts like leadership, mercy, encouragement, teaching, generosity, and hospitality remain dormant. The Church is the Body of Christ, and every Christian is a necessary part of that body. To detach from the Church is not simply to skip a service; it is to remove yourself from the very foundation that Christ intended to build upon.
In addition, the mission of God was given to the Church collectively, not to scattered individuals acting alone. Evangelism, discipleship, care for the poor, global missions, serving widows and orphans, shaping communities, and expanding the Kingdom are all assignments entrusted to the Church as a whole. Solo Christianity cannot fulfill the Great Commission. The early believers risked imprisonment, persecution, and death just to gather. They believed community was worth dying for, which raises an uncomfortable question for the modern believer: If they risked their lives to gather, why do we risk nothing to stay home?
When we combine the biblical, historical, and practical realities, the case becomes overwhelming. Church is not just beneficial, it is essential. It is where believers are formed, corrected, sharpened, strengthened, and sustained. It is where doctrine is preserved, hearts are healed, gifts are activated, and mission is fulfilled. It is the place God designed for believers to grow into the fullness of Christ. Christianity is personal, but it was never meant to be private.
To summarize key poinys, here are the non-negotiable truths Scripture teaches about why church is indispensable:
• Jesus founded the Church, not as optional, but essential.
• Spiritual feeding happens in community, not isolation.
• The Church guards believers from deception, drift, and confusion.
• Your spiritual gifts only flourish within the Body of Christ.
• Accountability, correction, and support cannot exist alone.
• The mission of God is fulfilled by the Church, not isolated individuals.
• The early Christians risked everything to gather, we should reconsider risking so little to skip.
The conclusion is this- absolutely, you can find, experience, and believe in Jesus privately, but you cannot become spiritually mature privately. Church is not a weekly ritual, it is God’s chosen environment for shaping His people. If you want to grow, if you want stability, if you want spiritual strength, and if you want to experience the fullness of the life God designed for you, then returning to the Church is not just important, it is vital!
Aren't all commandments of a living God, with power to create universes, heavens, earth and all within, important? This statement is made somewhat tongue in cheek, but also as a matter of perspective, since we do not have the ability to pick and choose the things that we want to accept, believe, or practice. That said, however, Jesus himself answered this very question. When the religious leaders of the time tried to trick the Messiah into blasphemy, asking Him that very question, "What would you say is the greatest commandment?" He answered them this way- “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ’Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” -Matthew 22:37-40
We believe that it very much matters. Selfless generosity has, time and again, proven that it can vastly change the very lives of other people.
Biblically speaking also, selfless generosity has never been portrayed as optional or merely admirable, but rather is evidence of a transformed heart. Jesus Himself defines the standard: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35). True generosity mirrors the character of God. The Father gave what was most costly, His Son, without expectation of return (John 3:16). In the same way, believers are called to give sacrificially, not strategically. And so we choose to live life here as if it were the training ground for life to come, with faith, hope, love, and charity of the heart.
Yes, yes, and yes! All of the time! Many people that we have been fortunate to meet in the faith have experienced this in person. Our God is the Lord of the supernatural. He is a spiritual being and has no limits on His divine power and authority over all of His own creation. If you need a miracle, don't make God your last resort... consider making Him your first! If you need prayer, we're here to join you in your petitions and requests, just send us a note with as much detail as you are comfortable sharing so that we may be informed and aloe to pray with clarity and authority. God rewards the faithful and all good things come directly, and only, from Him.
I suppose this depends on your definition of fanatical. Do we handle snakes and drink poison? Um, no. We had rather not tempt God. Do we believe in miraculous healing, prayer that moves heaven toward action, redemption of the worst of people, that worship can breakthrough strongholds, that the Son of God, being both fully divine and fully human, could be raised from the dead, and that there will be an eternal heaven/hell, in which we prior choose to partake in? Yes. Very strongly. So do nearly a third of the rest of the world's population, according to Pew Research Centers 2025 global religion report. Can 2.8 billion people, who have all share similar experiences and beliefs, be that wrong? It should give one pause...
The sad reality is that modern culture has moved so far away from God and toward self, that anyone who truly represents and practices authentic, biblical Christianity appears fanatical to those who don't these days. If this is the measuring rod, then sure, we'll openly admit that we are fanatical about Jesus!! Once you have met God as we have, there's no denying His divinity and authority anymore. You can't un-experience God. Once you know, that you know, that you know of His reality, that He is the one true and living God, would you not have the same passion and drive to spread His truth and His Gospel? Would you not want to help your family and friends prevent despair and disaster with their own very eternal souls? This is a lot more exciting than Monday night football, and how many conversations revolve around things of this nature, "Did you watch the game last night?"
People don't seem to be offended by others who love football, or their kids, or other hobbies, despite how often it comes up. But ,when the name of Jesus comes into play... wait a minute... not so interested in hearing one ramble on about that passion. And the reasons are biblical. Sorry, this will forever be on our lips, we love our Lord and Savior beyond anything possible in this life. He is cherished in our hearts and minds, and forever tattooed on our souls.
Yes, BecomingChristian.org does have a dedicated prayer team that prays for the needs of our online friends and family, the prayer requests received, and our community at large. We also share these often with our home churches so that others may also intercede with us in prayers to our Father. We pray in faith, knowing these requests are heard and that heaven responds.
